KAØKCI/R Rove Plans

Dave Powers, KAØKCI/R will be activating many grids in Kansas. Dave sends along the following:

My plans are :

I  do a RUN & GUN rover operation - since I travel less used highways - I will operate mobile if I can safely - or find a spot and park safely - I will be on - or very close to 50.125 - 144.2 - 222.1 432.1 1296.1

I am having IF System and/or Transverter problems. I am working on it. If I get that equipment operational, I will also be on 902.1, 2304.1. IF I get that working then I will continue to check the operation of my 3456 - 5760 & 10368 equipment. BUT since I use a single IF System for all my transverters, it has to work before I have any of the higher bands.

SATURDAY

at the start of contest (1800 GMT) to at the  EM06-07-16-17 grid corner - be in that area there no more than 1 hour -

then head west ( thru EM06) to

2130 GMT - be in DM96 at Gate, OK - be there no more than 1 hour

then head north into DM97 - just north and west of Dodge City, KS

2330 GMT - be in DM98 - be there no more than 1 hour -

I will leave the DM97-DM98 grid corner in the Dodge City, KS area and head east into EM08

0100 I will be in EM08 grid square - headed for Great Bend, KS where I will spend the night.

SUNDAY

I am an early riser - I should be out in EM08 no later than 1200 GMT

1200 GMT - EM08 - headed west and north towards Wakeenay, KS

1430 GMT - DM99 (DM98 line) - near Wakeenay, KS - for no more than an hour

I will determine then whether to go on North or head East depending on available stations to work.

I will go East into EM09 - especially if I do NOT have my upper bands working.

I will either head on East into EM19 - depending on stations available to work

OR - I will head back down South into EM08 (since it is the 2nd rarest EM grid square)

IF I headed East into EM19 - I will then head South into EM18 - and eventually into EM17

IF I headed South into EM08 - I will go to the EM07-08-17-18 grid square corner - just southwest of Hutchinson, KS - and work all 4 grid squares while station contacts last.
