Medals

Type 1: Type 2: Update and renumbering to follow soon. Type 3: Type 4: Type 5:

Type 1: Gold toned arrowhead with a Scout emblem on top of an American Legion cast emblem. Silk ribbon. Exceedingly rare. Number 1 likely went to Camp Director Duane Murphy. Number 2 is known to have been issued to Roger Stohlquist.
(photo to hopefully follow with attribution to owner)

Type A2: Silver toned arrowhead with gold Scout emblem on top of American Legion (cast) emblem. Silk ribbon. Pioneer year 1941.

Type B: Scout emblem cast on top of American Legion emblem. Usually copper/bronze color although some have a black toning or wash. An example from 1949

Type C: Cast Scout emblem on top of cast American Legion emblem. Mold modified. Bronze front and grey back to medal. Top ribbon attach point goes through a horizontal opening like on the watch fobs. The right side of the top portion of the arrowhead is a straight line angling up and to the right. Hole is 13mm wide. Quite rare.

Type D1 : Bronze medal. No cast AL emblem visilble here or in any later types. Ribbon 3cm tall. Examples from 1952 and 1954.

Type D2: Just like D1 but ribbon is 4cm tall. Black paint on back. Example from 1959.

Type E1: Ribbon attached to cast loop at top of medal (instead of on back). Also, this variety uses two metal loops for ribbon attachment. Mint mark on rear bottom.

Type E2: Same as E1 but no mint mark on back. Ribbon directly attached to top loop (no double metal loops)
(photos show two E1's and one E2)

Type F1: Last design. Ribbon attaches with two metal loops--one of which passes through round hole in top portion of arrowhead. Large hole at top. Back has "Metal Art Roch, NY"
Type F2a: Same as F1 but small hole at top and back has "SWNF Box 352 Loveland CO 80537" 2cm up from bottom on back.
Type F2b: Same as F2 (small hole) but "SWNF 1208 Heron Dr Loveland CO 80537" 1cm up from bottom on back.
Type F3: Same as the other F's but is gold in color and has no mintmark on the back. Small hole at top. Reported to be used around 2003.

Repeater Pins: Not many have been found. A tiny arrowhead seems to be official. Sometimes scouts used stars. (photo to follow in the next week or so)

The red one has hemmed edge variety as well as pinking shear edge.

Watch fobs: Note the difference in pointy tips on the two silver ones. They are sterling. One just might be a casting anomaly but it might be a different mold, also.
