2003 Chambers Award

Central States VHF Society presents the 2003 Chambers Award to David Robinson, WW2R, for hundreds of articles published about VHF/UHF/SHF technology and active operation on the bands. 2002 Wilson Award:  Central States VHF Society presents the 2003 Wilson Award to Sam Whitley, K5SW, for his many years of service to the society.  Sam has held all office positions at various times.  The society would not be where it is today if not for his widespread efforts in the society's early years.

The Modern Search for Amelia Earhart

Rod gave a fascinating talk about his role in a recent expedition searching for the final resting spot of Amelia Earhart and her airplane.  Rod helped model radio propagation from known transmitters at the time to yield another indicator of final location.
