Patches and Other Items

The following pages have thumbnail images of many of the patches, jewelry, and stickers from the Canoe Base.  Click on a thumbnail to get a large JPEG of the item.

You can look at the universe of Canoe Base patches two ways: two pages of thumbnails with just the NBW number or several long pages of a complete catalog complete with variations and discussion.

For all patches:  numerical designations were assigned in a joint effort by Chuck McBride and Albertus Hoogeveen and published in:  A History of Council, Jamboree and National Base Insignia Arapaho I (Update Second Edition) 1984 and not to be confused with the numbers originally assigned in: A History of Scouting Through Insignia (Arapaho I) published in 1976.  Where distinctions and variations beyond Arapaho are made, it will be noted.

For Neckerchiefs, numerical designations were determined with the assistance of Chuck McBride and color copies of neckerchiefs formerly in his collection.

For stickers or any other Canoe Base items, designations are of my own creation although I attempt to mimic the style and distinctions of Chuck and Albertus's work.
